Branded Generic Pharmaceutical Products

Bentley’s branded generic pharmaceutical product line consists of 43 products of various dosages and strengths represented by approximately 20 trademarked brand names. Most of its branded generic products are known in the industry as “branded generics” because they are being marketed by Bentley under a “brand” name even though Bentley is not the innovator of the product. Sales of branded generic pharmaceuticals accounted for approximately 22% of revenues in 2006, compared to 23% in 2005 and 25% in 2004. The Company’s branded generic products and, to a lesser extent, certain of its generic and over-the-counter products, are sold through Bentley’s Laboratorios Belmac subsidiary, which has approximately 78 full-time sales personnel who focus on major cities throughout Spain. Several branded generic products are also marketed by the sales forces of Laboratorios Davur and Laboratorios Rimafar supplemented with sales and marketing efforts for branded generic products through advertising in trade publications.

Generic Pharmaceutical Products

Bentley’s generic pharmaceutical product line consists of 86 products of various dosages and strengths. The Company entered the generic pharmaceutical market in Spain in September 2000. Sales of generic pharmaceuticals accounted for approximately 36% of revenues in 2006 and 2005, compared to 40% in 2004. Laboratorios Davur, Bentley’s sales and marketing organization devoted primarily to generic products, markets pharmaceutical products to physicians and pharmacists through a sales force of approximately 67 full-time sales personnel who focus on major cities throughout Spain. Laboratorios Rimafar, the Company’s sales and marketing organization devoted primarily to generics and over-the-counter products, markets to pharmacists through a sales force of approximately 22 full-time sales personnel throughout Spain. Laboratorios Belmac, to a lesser extent, also sells selected generic products through its sales force supplemented with sales and marketing efforts for generic products through advertising in trade publications.

The top-selling generic and branded generic products for Bentley include omeprazole, simvastatin, enalapril, paroxetine and lansoprazole.
